Without the sun there would be no wind energy.Wind energy is powered by the wind whitch is powered by the sun. Also there's a really cool book called wind energy by 2030. if you want to see it then click here for further information. Wind has saved a ton of money. Some people bought 21 schools from saving energy with wind. Wind is easy, safe, and better than fossil fuels. After you read this you won't think of a windmillsWind the same. Describe the process used to transform this energy into electrical energy

Wind power can drive a turbine with a propeller and make electricity. Watch the video and see huge propellers and schools who have them. They cost a ton of money but people say it's worth it. The propellers powers 1/2 of their energy! You can see the propellers when driving in the country. They are huge! The biggest propeller is called Enercon 126. Inside the propeller is a big magnet! One propeller can power up to 300 homes!

One of the advantages of the wind power is that they don't produce toxic gas,that they take up a small plot of land, there are many wind farms. The wind is free and with modren tecnology. It's clean fuel source to everyone who uses it. Fossil fuels plloutes the Earth and the wind is in the air, so it doesn't.

Describe the disadvantages of using this resource.

The disavantages are taking up your time and space to build these huge wind propellers. Wind turbines do not produce the same amount of electricity all the time. There will be times when they produce no electricity at all. Also in some places there is barely any wind at all! It takes millions and millions of dollars to build these huge towers. For example the average wind speed is 14 mph!

Describe how this energy relates to your everyday life.

When I drive down the country road I see huge wind propellers. I don't have any wind propellers at my school, but I see some at other schools. Also at wind farms you can see them too. Without this awesome power millions of people would have no jobs. Over 30,000 people have used wind instead of fossil fuels and they saved a ton of money.
